Boyce and Richardson lead finals-bound Melbourne Renegades to crucial win over Sydney Thunder at Marvel Stadium
Superb all-round performance from Cameron Boyce inspires Melbourne Renegades to vital win over Sydney Thunder at Marvel Stadium
This was the ninth meeting between these two sides, and the eighth victory for the Renegades. For the first 18 overs of this game the Thunder were utterly dominant. But Cameron Boyce played a sensational match-turning innings and scored unbeaten 51 off 22, and suddenly the Renegades had a more than decent total to defend. Pretty disappointing chase from the Thunder, apart from their debutant keeper Baxter Holt. So the Renegades move up to 16 points, solidifying their bid for a semi-finals spot.
