In the 37th Match of BBL Matthew Wade and D’Arcy Short combined for another big partnership as the Hurricanes eased past the Strikers in Adelaide
It was to easy for Hobart Hurricanes who now have 16 points at the top! Adelaide never got into this Match – not when they started slow, not with colin Ingram’s 22-run over. It was a comprehensive loss for them by 10 wickets. Mathew Wade was in brilliant touch throughout the innings with his bat, and got his second score in the 80s this BBL season. D’Arcy Short caught up later on and more than three overs were left as they opening pair finished this unseparated. Wade is the Man of the Match. Stat: So good have Wade and Short been at BBL|08 that they became the first pair in the history of the BBL to score 500 runs in partnerships in a single tournament. The pair have combined for two partnerships in excess of 100 runs and another of 95 so far this season of Big Bash. when both of them are on fire the Hurricanes are nearly impossible to be defeated.
