D’Arcy Short leads the Hobart Hurricanes to top spot In BBL
After the bowlers remarkable performance. D’Arcy Short smacks his sixth half-century of BBL|08, while youngster Caleb Jewell shows his class in determined win for Hobart Hurricanes.
Hobart stamped their dominance by chasing the 146-run target in just 14.2 over with nine wickets to spare. The Heat bowlers were all over the space and Short and Jewell took full advantage of that. Short remained unbeaten on 68 off 41, while Jewell smashed 61 off just 38 to see the side home.
The next stops: The Hurricanes will be looking to keep the momentum rolling when they face Adelaide Strikers on Thursday, while the Heat now look out of the finals race and will play the Scorchers on Friday.
