Dogged West Indies frustrate England to build crucial lead
West Indies were rewarded for patient, intelligent and at times fortunate batting as they frustrated England’s bowlers and built a handy 85-run first-innings lead on day two of the second Test. Watch the best of the action from the second Test between West Indies and England in Antigua.
What a fascinating day. England’s bowlers toiled and toiled. Stuart Broad was magnificent, Ben Stokes sweated blood for his team. But West Indies refused to be moved. Not least Darren Bravo, who has dropped anchor for 33 not out from 165 balls – an innings of dour imperturbable scratchiness, and a whole lot of heart. Holder is biding his time on 19… and with an 85-run lead, his team can almost scent that series win. It’s going to take something special for England to turn this one around.
