England struggle to combat but battling half-centuries from Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali give them something to play with
Watch the best action from the second Test between West Indies and England from Antigua.
Job done, as far as West Indies are concerned. Insert the oppo, roll them pretty cheaply, then get to the close none down. It was patient stuff during that last hour and a half, but just what was needed from Kraigg Brathwaite and John Campbell. The latter survived some nervy moments, and England’s attack will doubtless come again in the morning, but you can’t fault the application. With the ball, Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel did the major damage on a frisky surface – though it seemed to settle down as the day wore on. Fifties from Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali averted outright disaster, a la Kensington Oval, but England already look to be in a tight spot.
