England vs Australia – Ashes 2019 – 1st Test – Day 4 – Highlights

Australia set England 398 to win first Ashes test

Australia set England an imposing target of 398 to win the first Ashes test after the visitors declared their second innings on 487-7 late on the fourth day at Edgbaston on Sunday.

What a remarkable Test match this is turning out to be. Australia have utterly turned the tables on their hosts… they were dead and buried in the first innings, but like the archetypal horror-movie monster, the failure to kill off Steve Smith in that first-innings collapse has come back to haunt England. They’ve got a seriously tough day in store… a rare fifth day in an England Ashes Test! But they’ve passed their first exam this evening
